DNA-dependent protein kinase, catalytic subunit (PRKDC)

Kinase with high affinity for Ku bound at a DNA end; together they form the DNA-PK complex. Its DNA binding increases 100-fold when Ku is present. DNA-PKcs autophosphorylates and activates the nuclease Artemis. Whether it bridges the two ends is not settled. [1]
