End resection
CtBP-interacting protein (RBBP8)
Required for the resection of double-strand breaks in human cells, and recruited to breaks only in S and G2. It interacts with the MRN complex. Mutating its CDK site Thr-847 to alanine impairs resection, and the authors propose that CDK control of CtIP ties resection to the cell cycle. [1][2]
